As a 20 year old college student I did my best to defend my faith on campus at UWM. In the process of defending my faith, it became destroyed by people that appeared to be much smarter than me. Though college is a great place to learn and further anyone’s career, it is usually an environment full of sin and a negative attitude towards Christianity.
At 23 years old, it took me almost three years to get my faith back. Jay Seegert and his wonderful ministry have helped to influence me to seek out God and live my life for Him. Jay’s is a great speaker and is great at helping people solidify what they already believe and to defend it when needed.
If you are doubting your faith or are an athiest and feel like the media, your professors, peers, coworkers or friends are influencing you to doubt Jesus, it would be worth your while to attend any of Jay’s events or seek out his advice. I’d recommend him for any social gathering or church event. Thank you Jay!

In September of 2005, Jay Seegert was the main speaker on Biblical Creation at a three day weekend seminar at Crescent Lake Bible Camp in Rhinelander Wisconsin. He spoke before older people who had “heard it all,” younger people who knew very little, strangers from around the country and old friends who had known him for years. His chapel presentations were so powerful and exciting that instead of the usual declining attendance at these types of seminars, everyone attended all six sessions and bombarded the unflappable Jay with all kinds of questions. Many of those “who had heard it all” said this was the best they’d ever heard and others raved about his knowledge and presentation skills. I can’t think of a situation that Jay could not handle, and handle it sensibly and sensitively. God has greatly gifted this young man.

Recently we hosted Jay Seegert, founder and president of theChristianEducationCenter, at our church. He spoke to our weekend congregations and led an evening seminar on Science, Creation and the Validity of the Bible.
Not only was it immensely interesting, Jay displayed a tremendous knowledge of science AND the Bible and managed to blend the two of them together in what I can only describe as genius. His presentation, which included on screen visual support, was engaging, at times entertaining, informative, challenging, mind-stretching and anointed. Jay obviously knows what he is talking about and the authority with which he spoke on the subject garnered our trust, put the listener at ease and made the ministry all the more effective.

The lecturer was able to explain and illustrate concepts for non-technical people as well as keep the science minded students very interested and engaged. The visuals were extremely helpful. A great primer on grasping the terms, challenges to tenets of macro-evolution, evidence of intelligent design, irreducible complexity, and how this relates to the Bible. Jay’s initial lecture was so well received that the second one was packed out to overflow. There were plenty of questions to follow, and many students stayed late to talk with him. I heard just this Saturday that someone has been checking out your DVD’s from our church resource center and having their young children watch them and the kids are EATING it up and asking lots of questions.
Someone else told me that the young adults/college age kids really enjoyed your presentation because you just told it like it was – with some humor of course but there was nothing fake. I guess they were saying you were authentic in the way you presented and they really appreciated that and seemed more eager to consider all you said.
So many others have been impacted by your visit. For some it was just confirmation of what they believed. For others it was new. And for some it sent them investigating further.
Anyway – I just wanted to again say THANK YOU! You made an impact by being inFond du Lacthat cold wintry day in February. And – as I heard this week – the impact continues! I have worked in a scientific/technical environment for over 20 years. I was saved about 12 years ago and since then I have debated with many very intelligent and very atheistic people. Jay came to speak at the small church I attend in southeasternWisconsin. I had been to a few seminars and I’ve always learned things; however, the three days that Jay spoke really hit home. I have been doing a lot research about Creating and science and how/if the two could fit together. I ended up writing a ten page research paper for my English course on the topic in my secular university which sparked many conversations and I was asked numerous questions that I hadn’t the slightest idea how to answer. In the process of doing research I came across an article that was written by a man who claimed it was entirely possible to believe that God used evolution and hundreds of years to create the earth and living things without discrediting the text of the Bible. Listening to Jay speak not only answered a lot of the questions that I had been asked in class about my paper, but it also helped me in my time of confusion. I didn’t know if I believed that God could have used evolution. It didn’t seem like it fit to me, but I didn’t know why I thought that. Jay cleared up a lot of information on that front. Lastly, I have been having many discussions with the young man I am dating because we have differing views. Jay’s series of seminars touched on the majority of the questions that I was being asked in these conversations. I was touched by Jay’s information in more ways than one and I pray that God continues to reach people through him.

Our science teacher, whom you met after the assembly, shared this morning in department devotions that one of the students was interested in learning about the differences between Christianity and Buddhism. Another is apparently searching for answers, and your presentation continued to fuel his interest. He was doing his own research yesterday afternoon. The talk that you gave to the Whitewater youth group really did something for me. Previous to this, my friends would always ask these irrate questions about the Bible, and I would be afraid to answer. Now, thanks to you, I have found new strength in answering , and then questioning them myself.

We attended a series of weeks of Jay speaking at our church and were amazed by his knowledge! It made visiting the Creation Museum in KY, that much more enjoyable and interesting on our second visit over Mother’s Day…I could have spent hours there!!! I’m a book kind of learner and not knowledgeable about science by any stretch of the imagination, so picking up Jay’s booklets to go over and over was invaluable to me. He will freely say that he talks fast 
so being able to read and digest his research at my own pace is awesome! I have shared my limited knowledge with friends and family because of these booklets…and if I can do it, then anyone can! My daughter has asked me questions and who has questions about her own faith, dates a doctor who is also a “cell research” scientist, so I have my work cut out for me. These booklets have been an easy read and easy for me to understand. The Biblical references and all the back up data to go to has been so helpful too! Thank you!

Hi, my name is Natalie and I was at Redeemer EFC in Milwaukee WI when you spoke several weeks ago. I just wanted you to know how much I appreciated the information you shared. I grew up in a church that taught the Bible could be taken literally and I was very out spoken in my public education about my faith in the Bible (I was the kid that was always raising my hand with those questions that annoyed my teachers). I loved the study of science and had the opportunity to go to a non-denominational, private college, [name removed].
It was here I studied Environmental Science in what I was hoping would be a safe, non-confrontational atmosphere. I was surprised to find out that many of my Bible believing PHD professors prescribed to theistic evolution and not a literal six day creation. This made me start to question myself and my beliefs. Could God have created the world in six days? Sure. Did God create the world in six days…I was beginning to wonder. I looked into theistic evolution, the gap theory, flood theories and everything and finally left it alone. I told God I would wait for Him to show me, but for now I would just believe He did it and I would not be so concerned with the how.
In this time I went on to get my master’s degree in secondary science education and found myself teaching these theories I used to fight (of course I was very creative…) however, being conflicted myself, I didn’t know what I could exactly offer so we just glossed over these areas. Now I am 35 and have been waiting a long time for some answers. There I was one Sunday and you described the six day creation, using the flood theory without making any excuses for it.
Thank you for your ministry, you made me feel comfortable to go back to the six day creation theory and not feel like I am an idiot. Of course, I still have a few geology questions….all this to say thank you for your ministry and thank you for the time and energy you put into studying something that I gave up on years ago. Your talk was a breath of fresh air and just makes me more confident than ever to trust my Bible Literally! Thanks again for following God’s leading in your life and speaking into mine.

This past weekend, we had creation scientist, Jay Seegert, speak at our church. Jay is the president and co-founder of Creation Education Center, and is a popular lecturer on creation science. He presented three sessions, and three things about him were clear:
1. He really knows his stuff. It was evident that he had spent hours and years studying the issues and the evidence. He knew all the key names, all the key issues, all the key debates, all the key developments, all the key changes, all the key strengths, and all the key weaknesses. His credibility was quickly established.
2. He loves the gospel of Jesus Christ. It was evident that he doesn’t replace the importance of the gospel of Jesus Christ with a passion for creation. He convincingly argues that a genuine and accurate belief of Jesus Christ will be complemented with an unwavering trust in the historical accuracy of Genesis 1-11; but the purpose of his presentations is to draw people to Christ. He does so by demonstrating the reasonableness of holding to the inspired Scriptures, which testify of the Savior, Jesus.
3. He loves people. It was evident that he does not attack or defame. Jay doesn’t call names or make others look foolish. He is fair and gracious. Nonetheless, he conversationally, lovingly, and yet convincingly argues for the veracity of Scripture (especially Genesis 1-11), and thus the reliability of its central message–a restored relationship with our benevolent Creator through Jesus Christ.

First off let me say ‘thank you’ for all the work you do and I feel absolutely blessed that God has led me to your teachings. I am 32 years old, married, father of two, and new to God by only a couple months. I was not raised in a religious household and so all my life I have been the typical critic/skeptic of all religion in general. I’ve loved everything about science and space since I was little and just accepted the evolutionary theory that seemed to go along with it.
I recently began to take a look at my life and the path I was leading my family down (particularly my 11 year old son). There just seemed to be a ‘void’ in that path. Like there was no end, no direction or purpose. Like we were just wandering about. My wife had tried to get me to church many times, but I would usually find an excuse not to go. Well one Sunday I made myself go, trying to find some of that direction I was seeking. And Mr. Seegert, it was like the Pastor was talking TO me and ABOUT me the entire time…and has been ever since! My eyes were finally beginning to open and I was no longer wandering alone on that path. It has been a truly overwhelming experience.
Needless to say I have countless questions and it sounds silly, but sometimes I feel like I don’t know ‘how’ to be a Christian. I want to be able to teach my children about the word of God, but if they ask a question, I am mostly ‘stumped’. I needed ammo, so I have been trying to read/listen to everything I can get my hands on. I heard one of your interviews on my local radio station and have been hooked on your teaching ever since. I’ve taken advantage of all your free audio resources and articles on your web site (thank you by the way). Being someone who has always gravitated to the science-side of things I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your work!

Your question of month (“Is it possible to know anything for certain?”) could not have been more timely! We have a friend of our college age children making quite a stir regarding these types of questions. He (a christian) is also saying that scripture in NOT inerrant. He is redefining “inerrant” and frankly being very confusing. We are really praying for him and “studying to answer”. Anyway thank you for all you do and please keep it up!

Jay Seegert was asked to come and speak to our UW-Whitewater Intervarsity group about God’s design and how science absolutely CAN prove God’s existence. It was truly a blessing to encounter another scientist who shared my passion for both the study of God’s creation and the life that God calls us to lead as believers. Recently, while in one of my classes, my neuroscience professor said something that made me both irate and rather puzzled. She said that “if someone were to design the brain, putting the neurons that control basal functions in the spinal cord, passing right through the foramen magnum (a big hole at the base of the skull), was a really ‘stupid’ idea.” The reason why she said this was such a “stupid” idea was that if there is a severe enough injury to the brain to cause swelling, the swelling brain can press on the brainstem, which can cause it to be constricted in the foramen magnum. If it is constricted it can’t function – and then breathing and heart rate stops, and the person can die.
While I was spewing rather uncouth statements and “how dare she call God’s design ‘stupid’” in my head, I was also very perturbed by her statement, and as a believer, I try to research evolutionist arguments and come up with good counter arguments. However, I was a little stumped by this one! Why would God put the basal function (heart rate, breathing, etc.) control center in that location? Not that I doubted His design at all…it was just that for some reason I couldn’t think of an answer!
So I remembered Jay’s online ministry, Creation Education Center, and I sent him an email asking that very question. Jay, being a physicist and engineer, was not as familiar with neuroscience, so he contacted a member of his ministry board who is Chief of Staff at a hospital. The email Jay forwarded to me from this man not only answered my question, but it also made me step back and say to myself, “Well, duh! Of course God would put it there!”
Jay’s ministry is such a blessing and what’s really great about it is that you don’t have to be a science wiz to understand what Jay is saying. God’s creation is for all of us to study, not just those with a shnazzy VIP access to a microscope! I am constantly in absolute awe of our God’s creation and I am so happy that our wonderful Heavenly Father has given Jay and the people of his ministry the love of sharing His glory with the world!
